We stopped by the Cabin Cafe after riding our Harley’s in the Smokey Mountains…..arrived just as the restaurant was closing. The owner invited us in and served us a wonderful meal. The reuben sandwiches were fabulous, the red skin potato salad was some of the best I have tasted and the spinach quiche was dellicious. There were 6 of us and all enjoyed our meal. Definately a great homecooked meal and good amount of food for the price. Would highly recommend it!!!

Traveling we want authentic experiences–this is one! Small log cabin moved to this spot; front porch and terrace with tables for patrons to dine alone or w/their dog breathing fresh mt. air! The menu is limited, but everything is homemade and superb: quiches, soups, sandwiches, cakes…we walked in for breakfast and could see the carrot cake just turned out from the pan, a banana nut bread & muffins ready to bake. We went back for lunch! Open until 6pm.

My husband and I visit the area at least once a year, and try to stay clear of any lunch places that we could get when we are at home (fast food, chains, etc). I had done some research on the Crafter Community and lunch options since we knew we would be visisting during lunch hours. We have been to the Crafter Community many times, but never had a meal while there. We decided we would try something new and boy are we glad we did. The location is awesome, the food was great, and the service top notch as well. We were so glad we stopped and had lunch. I had the chicken sandwich with potato salad, and my husband chose the BLT with the potato salad. It was all very delicious. Since it was a fairly warm day,we chose to eat on the front porch and it was a very nice relaxing leisurely lunch, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg. We thank you very much for a great meal. We will be back!

The Cabin Cafe is a MUST if you are visiting the Gatlinburg area! The owner fixed some of the best chili I have ever had, as well as an absolutely delicious BBQ sandwich! We are already back from vacation, and still talking about our meal here!

What a wonderful place to eat we loved it. We will come back for sure. A big shout out to Duane we left the diaper bag and he delivered it to us about 5 stores away. We had not missed it yet we still don’t know how he found us but we were grateful. Do not pass this place up it is great. Thank you and bless you.

The sandwiches were delicious, the seasonings were perfect! You may pay more than you would at another place for sandwiches but they are worth it!

Last night we saw a commercial for The Cabin Cafe. They had said that they cater to special diets. Our family has two girls that are allergic to all dairy products, I have a gluten allergy, my son and husband have no diet restrictions at all. With our special needs means eating a lot of home cooking or packing lunches when we travel. There are very few places that we can go and feel comfortable. The owner made us all feel completely comfortable and was VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE to both special needs. My youngest daughter was able to eat a grilled “cheese” sandwich…completely vegan! I LOVED the ham, bacon and cheese sandwich. The gluten free bread was AMAZING! I have never found a gluten free bread that was light and as tasty as this was. My husband, the wheat eater, loved his sandwich. He even tasted our daughter’s vegan sandwich and was amazed at the taste! As we sat around the table at this very cozy establishment….I was brought to tears. I was overwhelmed with the emotions that all of my family needs were COMPLETELY taken care of and at ease. This place was a true blessing! God bless this owner and his business to keep growing. He was a true answer to our prayers!
    Thank you and God bless.

My aunt and I stopped here on a whim and recognized it from the commerical on the tourist channel in Gatlinburg. It was amazing! The soups were tasty and seasoned just right and the quiche was out of this world. It had a homey, comfortable feel and it was very welcome on a cold, wet day. Thank you for adding to our Gatlinburg experience.

We stopped into Cabin Cafe on a whim. We had been shopping for pottery all morning with no breakfast and just wanted a quick snack to tide us over until dinner. Wow!! Randy and I talked about your place all the way home. Randy had the beans and cornbread and he said it “wasn’t cooked today,” and those who know about cooking beans, know that is a compliment. I had the Reuben sandwich and potato salad. I promise you it was the best Reuben I’ve ever had!! Just delicious and the flavor was bursting in my mouth. So, of course, we shared a piece of the cheesecake and the fat lady sang! We are hooked. Oh, and the service and atmosphere was superb. Randy and I were just delighted with the entire experience. We promise we will be back and recommend Cabin Cafe to everyone! Please don’t change a thing! Perfection is refreshing!

  11. Duane,
We cannot stop thinking about the wonderful lunch, delicious dessert, and pleasant conversation that we enjoyed when we visited The Cabin. You are a tremendous host and a fabulous cook! I cannot believe that I keep thinking about an egg salad sandwich as much as I am thinking about the one that I had in your restaurant. It seems obsurd! But, without a doubt, the chocolate chip cheesecake with the brownie crust, has us both wishing that The Cabin was MUCH closer! You’re a terrific cook, a fabulous baker, and a courageous business man. We wish you every success always! If you’re ever in NJ or PA or in need of fresh produce, look us up!
